Shanghai, Dec. 4.

There was not much busineTM done on the Shanghai Stock Ex- change last Tuesday owing to set- tlement day. There was, however. a much better feeling in the rub ber section of the market following) improved advices from the primary markets.

Some business was done the nextį day in Shanghai Telephone 6% de- bentures at 100.50 and Shanghai Power 51⁄21⁄21⁄2 debentures at 96.75.| The rubber share market was firm with a fair denmand but very few shares were offering at present

prices.

There was little of interest in the general market during the following | few days. The debenture market was again on the easy side on Fri- day. The Shanghai Power 6% Pre- ference shares were also easier be- ing marked down to 138.

The con- tinued weakness in the Shanghai, debenture market exercised a de- pressing influence upon both the general and the rubber sections off the stock exchange on Saturday. Al- though rates were very steady in the rubber section business was very limited.
