Yellow Cake HOLIDAY FRUIT
1⁄2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup milk
3 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
1⁄2 teaspoon lemon extract
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
21⁄2 cups pastry flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
3 egg whites, beaten
Cream butter and sugar.
Add
milk, yolks, extracts, salt, flour and
baking powder. Beat 8 minutes.
Fold in whites. Pour into 2 layer to
1⁄2 pound prunes
1 Inch stick cinnamon
6 whole cloves

14 to 11⁄2 cup brown sugar
