The Soviet authorities are plan- ning a widespread enlargement of the cotton and textile industry. One big plant has already been built in western Siberia, and others are under construction in central Asia.

A group of seven Soviet cotton manufacturing experts are pro- ceeding to England in order to study the cotton and textile trade with a view to purchasing machinery and engaging technical aid.
