ING'S Warden's very fine mile gallop on Wednesday morning when he covered the mile in 2.10 with a last half of 1.01.0 and a finish- ing quarter of 0.28.4 places him as a St. Leger possible for the next meeting and his form will be closely watched in the Surrey Handicap over a mile and 171 yards to-morrow. On his gallop, and being in the hands of Mr. Heard, he looks a winner.

Electric Star, another candidate in the Griffins Leger will also be on trial in the Hong Kong Griffins Cup over 14 miles half a mile short of the classic distance. On his form last time out he is a likely winner, though it must be remembered that he has not done better than secure third place over this distance.
