Accused Tells Of Knife Attack By Deceased

A plea of self-defence was raised by Tse Sam, charged with; the murder of his mistress. Lam Wah. at Lokmáchnu on August 25, at the continued hearing before the Chief Justice, Mr. A..D, A. MacGregor at the Criminal Sessions, Supreme Court this morning. The accused, in his statement, said that the woman attacked. him. with a knife and he used a pole to parry off her attack. She was struck by the pole, but he could not say how many times.
During the morning's hearing, evidence was given by several of the accused's, fellow-employees who spoke of the bad temper of the deceased woman and of her attacks on her husband, a young The Crown in its opening had mai tsai. and other employees. also referred in the bad outbursts of temper displayed by the woman, who on August 21, had administered a severe bealing on The accused for apparently no other reason than that he refused to gamble.
