MAJOR MARKET UPTURN

Business Barometer Records Sharp Rise

- RAILROAD ANXIETY

Chartists are forecasting an emminent major market upturn.

Favourable factors yesterday were that American telephones and private chart telephone con- nections were regarded as doing excellent business, and that the business barometer has made a sharp upward turn in the past fortnight, the first advance since the spring.

An unfavourable factor Кав that the railroad net operating in- come for August was U.S.$39,077,- | 337, as against U.S.$61,401,986 last year, the sharpest decline in any month during 1034. United Press, per S. E. Levy and Corn-
