Two crimes are committed, Mc-. Laglen, the detective, is called, and the manner in which he humorously solves the unique situation while the musical show goes on is both thrilling and en- tertaining.

"THE THIN MAN"-QUEEN'S

THEATRE

William Powell, the actor of many gentleman crook roles, gives an excellent characterisation of a retired detective in Metro-Goldwyn- Mayer's current production "The Thin Man", now at the Queen's Theatre.

Powell comes in a role that is entirely different from the usual trend of detective films. He is cast as a retired detective, living mostly on alcohol, and on the Įmoney that his wife. excellently played by Myrna Loy, has in- herited.

Powell and Miss Loy are just after enjoying life and letting the world, explan-go by, when he against his will, is dragged into a most perplexing mystery, and eventually into solv fing it.
