A hot fight for the position has produced three rivals, left, General Werner von Blomberg, Minister of War, and Chief of the Reichswehr; centre, Alfred Hugen- berg, millionaire publisher, leader of the Nationalist Green Shirts, who were "liquidated" by the Nazin last year; right, General Hermann Goering, Minister of Air, the "mailed 'fist" of Hitler during the recent bloody purge, and a power in Brown Shirt ranks, who is reported in the lead so far.
