A decided drop in the total num ber of vessels, and in aggregate tonnage, entoring from and clearing for abroad from Shanghai during July was seen when compared with the figures for the previous month of June, according to the Shanghal Monthly Returns of Foreign Trade, July, 1934, issued this week by the {statistical department of the Inspec
torate General of Customs.
During July a total of 270 vesseİK, representing 1,237,979 tons entered and cleared the local port for abroad, 88 compared with 285 vessels, re presenting 1,325,147 vessels, which entered and cleared during June.
