WHATEVER hope Craigengower "A" had of seeing their club-
mates lower the champions' colours were rudely shattered last Saturday, when Craigengower "B" were defeated by 19 shots at home.
The Bowling Green Club played a steady game through- oat, and fully deserved their win, A feature of the game was J. Cavanaghs' rink's (E. Tuck, L. C. R. Souza and A. S. Gomes) win over W. Macfarlane's four (P. Farrell, J. Rodger and H. Rose), the C.C.C. skip winning by 11 shots.
Although the champions won by a fairly comfortable margin. until late in the game Craigengower had a chance of victorv. E. Arculli went down badly to L. Guy, but W. Macfarlane was receiving similar treatment from J. Cavanagh, and C. Rosselett and R. Hall were leading were fairly even. On the 13th head, the champions by four shots only.
After the tea interval, however, the visitors forged ahead on two greens to win comfortably.
