KEEN COMPETITION EXPECTED UNDER NEW SCHEME

Members of the leading swim- ming clubs in the Colony, includ- ing many of the fastest swim- mers in Hong Kong, will take part in the annual aquatic sports of the Hong Kong Volunteer De fence Corps, which will be held

at the Victoria Recreation Clubi -on Saturday night.

An attractive programme of seven swimming events for which. a record entry has been received, and an Inter-Units water poko game, will fill the curd, the events including an open 100 yards frge style race and a 50 Yards free style event for Ladies.

A nutable change has been made this year in the classification of the members of the Corps. The entire units have now been divided into

four groups, namely, the Static Machine Guns, Mobile Machine) Guns, Smail Units and Infantry. This new idea has broken up the
