PILOT UNHURT AFTER MISSED LANDING ON EAGLE

The airmen who crashed in the R.A.F. Fairey 3F plane when landing on the H.M.S. Eagle yesterday morning were Flying Officer Ivor Clifford Rowe. and Cpl. Albert E. V. Winter. accord- ing to a message from the R.A.F. Base at Kai Tak this morning.

Flying Officer Rowe, the pilot. was unhurt, but Cpl. Winter, the observer, received injuries to his shoulder, and was admitted to the R. N. Hospital yesterday after- 11000. His condition is not ser- ious.

The plane, one of the machines of the 824 Squadron. had flown from the base at Kai Tak and cir eled over the H. M. S. Engle..which was steaming into the wind, and endeavoured to effect a landing.
