"If Perry can maintain the form he is showing at present, England's chances of retaining the Davis Cup this year must be considered good," said Mr. G. P. Hughes, the well- known English tennis player, who, with Messrs. F. J. Perry, H. G. N Lee and F. H. D. Wilde, recently ar rived in Colombo from Australia in the P. and O. Maloja.

The four players visited the Commonwealth, and, in addition to playing many matches, met. Aux- tralia in a series of five Tests, -four of which they lost, during

their six months tour.
