Bucharest Mourns Assassinated Premier.
It seemed as if the entire population turned out to join the funeral cortege of the late Premier of Rumania, M. Ton Dusa, when his body was brought here from Sinais, where he was assassinated, for burial, on January 2. This photograph shows the huge crowd that greeted the body formed in a cortego behind it as it was moved on a gun carriage from the railway station.

It is my sad task to relate, how-! ever, that in this particular in- stance the gods of chance were not with Declarer, as the adverse cards were distributed in the only pos sible way which would defeat the contract
To make the story, even sadder, the opponents on the very next hand went out with a Small Slam of their own.' Thus dis tribution was responsible for a swing of some 4500 points against. North and South
