FUNERAL TO-MORROW

The death occurred at the Eow loon Hospital at 11.30 this morning of Mr. Edward Laurence Stainfeld, Clerk and Usher of the Supreme Court, from pneumonia.

The late Mr, Stainfield, who was about 45 years of age, was born in Australia and came to Hong Kong as a young boy. He returned from Jong leave in Australia about eight months ago.

Mr. Stainfield joined the Govern- ment service in 1907 as a clerk in the Post Office and was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1917.
