cricket skipper, played a real-† ly fine innings for his 95, scored out of 146 in 85 minutes, for the Club against the Army on Saturday. Hitting the ball in the middle of the bat he played his best in nings of the season, collecting no fewer than seventeen boundaries.
When 95 be called D, 3. Harley for a quick third run and Dr. Whitley threw down his wicket from the boundary. He had
never looked like getting out and appeared certain of record- ing the first premier league century of the season. Teddy Flucher's 97 against the Army is still the highest
score.

J. Barnes recorded the "hat trick for the Civil Service against the Police on Saturday when he clean bowled G. R. Wynne, B. Thorne, and T. H. King with the last three balls of the drawn match. Taking 4 for 10, he clean bowled all four batsman for 4 runs in course of seven balls.
This was the second junior lèngue "hat trick," A, A. Aziz, former University player, having performer. od the fest for the I. R. G. against Craigengower earlier in the season.
