Four players were outstanding in the first Interport Hockey Trial which was staged at King's Park yesterday in preparation for

Macao's visit next month. They were T. Whitley, (C.B.A.), Black burn (Police), W. Reed (H. K. Club) and Lal Singh (Punjabis).

For the Whiles team Pte. Hol- lingsworth played a very sound game in goal and cleared well on occasion. The two backs Sub Taj Mohamed and P. Singh were very sound, clearing strongly, but ap- peared to be a little on the slow side when coping with the fast Colours forward line.

The Whites fotermediate line was the strength of the team. The combination of W. Reed, H. J. D. Lowe and Lieut. Ravenhill proved a very strong one. The trio suppiled their forwards with many their passes which should have been used to better advantage

ME two Lincolns Soccer Shields were decided yesterday afternoon on the Chatham Road Ground when "A" Company, holders of both trophies for the past three seasons won the senior game when they competely outplayed "D" Company by 6 goals to 1, and lost the Junior match when in the second replay they were beaten by Head- quarter Wing by 3 goals to 1-after 4 hours and 10 minutes play."

Two new interporters, Lieut. Hocquard and L/Cpl. Ridley, took part in the senior game, but on opposite sides, while "A" Company also included Belt, Higgins and Heath of the Battalion team. Clark, the leading goal-scorer in Hong Kong, replaced Roden at left back.
