One of the most notable wed- dings in recent years took place! at St. John's Cathedral this afternoon when Miss Marjorie Holme-Sumner, second daughter Holme- of Captain Berkeley Sumner, C.B.E., R.N., and Mrs. Holme-Sumner of Plaxtol. Kent. wife of England. became the Lieutenant Richard Christopher John Dreyer, R.N., of HM.S. Berwick, eldest son of Admiral Sir Frederick Charles Dreyer. K.C.B., C.B.E., Commander-in- Chief of the China Station, and Lady Dreyer. The Very Rev. Dean A. Swann officiated, assist ed by the Rev. P. M. Dodwell of H.M.S. Berwick.
The bride was given away by Captain C. G. Sedgwick, R.N., of H.M.S. Berwick, while Lieuten- ant F. W. R. Larken, R.N., of H.M.S. Berwick, performed the duties of best man.
