HIEF interest in Saturday's Race Meeting at the Valley will centre round the Carnarvon Stakes for Novice riders and the Jordan Handicap as these two races will decide the second “double" in the history of the Colony Turf.'
The Jockey Club could hardly have selected two more difficult races for the betting public, and if the dividend does not exceed the $3,322 paid out to Mr. Woo Lai Tin at the last Meeting I shall be more than surprised.

Since last week's paragraph re-150
1875 ferring to the possibility of Mr. V. V. 1876 Needa coming to the Colony in the 1877 near future I have been told by one of 1878 the local jockeys that the well-known 1879 Shanghai
1880 is not eaming. In rider etter he had received from Shanghai 1981 Mr. Needa sald that there was little 1832 nossibility of him coming back to 1883 Hong Kong as he had now settled down 1884 permanently in the northern city. Of 1885 Mr. Y. S. Chang, the other Jockey I mentioned as visiting the Colony.
