(By Outside Left.)

THERE will be many new players on view this

afternoon when the Hong Kong Football League officially opens, with ten matches, and from all reports competition is likely to be even greater than it was last year. South China, the premier league champions, are not engaged, but the improved Club, Lincolns and Kowloon teams are all opening their season to-day.

In the junior divisions the Chinese Athletic . and Borderers, both title-holders, will be on view.

The big match of the week will be staged at Caroline Hill to-morrow when South China clash with the Chinese Athletic. The fixture should have heen included in the opening fixtures.
