Sixteen Russian aeroplanes are being sent to the Arctic regions to serve the whole shore of the North- Jern Arctic Ocean from Murmansk

to the Behring Sea.

Part of their job will be to ob serve the movement, of ice through- out the year. These observations will cover a radius of · about · 350 miles.
