New Beret Caps Are Less Severe.

The earliest indications of the autumn line in millinery are given in the new caps of beret type. These are much less severe than those of last season, which were! simple and almost boyish, and bare- ly covered the hair.

While preserving closely the line of the head the new caps" show twists, knots, and small brima which give a much more trimmed effect. Most of them are built up high at the back and pulled down. to a vizor-like point over the right eye, much lower than anything- which has been seen before.
