$16,000 Required In Coming Season.

GOVERNMENT JOAN TO BE REALISED

"The Association cannot go on at this rate," said Mr. W. L. Alexander, Hon Treasurer, at the first meeting of the newly elected Hong Kong Football Association Council, yes- terday, when the financial plight of the Association was revealed.

Mr. Alexander quoted losses for the seasons 1931/32 and 1932/- 33, amounting to approximately $14,000, and added that the Asso ciation would have to make at least $16,000 to meet the expenses of the coming year.

"We have no Interport inis year in Hong Kong and will have to send a team up to Shanghai. This will probably cost the Association $3,500 at a minimum cost."

New Board Room

It was also decided by the Council to accept the very kind offer of Messrs. Percy Smith, Seth and Fleming. their auditors, of a room in which to hold meetings of the Ag. sociation. This offer would save the Association $27 a alonth.
