FRENCH ECONOMIC DELEGATES MOST DISAPPOINTED

LONDON, TO-DAY. ·

THE UNITED STATES ADMINISTRATION, MORE CON- CERNED WITH ITS INTERNAL INFLATION PROGRAMME, IS NOT PREPARED TO AGREE TO CURRENCY STABILISA- TION, AND THE REPORT THAT A VIRTUAL AGREEMENT HAD BEEN REACHED FOR THE STABILISATION, OF THE DOLLAR AT THE PRESENT APPROXIMATE POUND RATE OF 4.05 IS OFFICIALLY DENIED IN WASHINGTON

Work on the major problems may be seriously held up as a result of the stabilisation deadlock. The French delegates are most disappointed at 'resident Roosevelt's non-acceptance of the stabilisation proposals.
