Co-operative Scheme Announced,
OWNERSHIP AFTER 12 YEARS TENANCY
"Own your own flat"- is the slogan of the Perpetual Trust Com- pany which is to commence build- ing operations early next month on what will be the largest block of flats in the Colony.
The Company has acquired the large plot of ground bordering Chatham Road and Carnarvon Road, Kowloon, where it is to
raise a 7-storey building contain- ing 112 flats. It is hoped to complete the building within 15 months from the date of start- ing, at an estimated cost of
$800,000.
It is the intention of the Company to offer the flats at- an average rental of $130, and to launch a co-operative scheme whereby the tenant will become the owner of his dat within 12 years.
