The magnitude of the Hamamat su. disaster, caused by three ex- plosions in the Hamamatsu Air Corps powder magazine, yesterday evening, is not yet fully known, but

it is feared to be the worst disaster of its kind for, many years.

Fires are still raging to-day and the explosions are continu- ing. The casualties are expected to run into a high figure. Last night the death roll was estim- ated at ten.
