L/Cpl. Maltby, the Lincolns captain, and winner of the Lincoln- shire Battalion Championship, established an early lead when he beat S. M. Floyd by 49 points, making breaks of 34 and 35.
L/Sgt. Ash increased the Lincolns lead by 13 points when he beat Lieut. Regan. Ash made a break of 29 and Regan one of 24.
L/Sgt. Hollingsworth broke the run of wins by the Lincolns by defeating Cpl. Berriman by 36 points, while Spr. Whittaker gave the Pte. Harper by 108 Sappers the lead when he decisively defeated prints.
