WIDE POWERS FOR GOVERNOR-GENERAL AND PROVINCIAL GOVERNORS.
London, To-day.
The Government's proposals for a reformed constitution of India were issued in the form of a White Paper yesterday, and will be ex- amined by a joint select committee of both Houses of Parliament in consultation with representatives of Indian opinion. The final pro- posals, in the form of a Bill will be based on the Committee's report.
