Influenza Ends Chequered Career Of Mrs. Kate Meyrick.

London, To-day. Mrs. Kate Meyrick, the "Night Club Queen" of London has died after an attack of influenza.

For many years a central figure in the night life of Loudon, Mrs. Meyrick has been the proprietor of several night clubs in the city, some of which were closed by the pulice, owing to the sale of liquor during prohibited hours. She hor frequently been gaoled.

The Report emphasises the necessity of an early settlement of the debts. question and urges the restoration of an effective inter- national standard to which countries which have abandoned the gold standard can adhere. Each Government, however, must be free to decide when and how they could apply such a standard.

The fallin commodity prices might be counteracted by a gen eral policy for easy money to pro- mote the healthy extension of business and the regulation of exports or production, especially of wheat.

The abolition of the measures of exchange control is an essen tial condition to world recovery, but the abolition is possible only if there is a lasting balance in the Budgetary system of all Govern- ments concerned.
