Woodfull Carries Bat

TAIL COLLAPSES AGAINST "SHOCK" ATTACK.
Oldfield Did Not Bat.
Adelaide, To-day. England won the third Test match by 338 runs shortly after the luncheon interval this afternoon. The feature of the day's play was the batting of Woodfull, the Australian skipper, who carried his bat through the innings for 72+ runs,
Only a small crowd were pre- sent in sultry weather when Woodfull (36) and Richardson (0) resumed Australia's second innings on a wicket which show- ed signs of wear.
Larwood commenced by bowling on the off, but adopt- ed the leg theory in his third over to the jeers of the crowd.
Both batsmen showed the ut, most respect for Verity, who sent down four successive maid- ens.
Woodfull, however, reach-
ed his half century after 169 minutes batting. Jardine ran across and congratulated him.
Richardson left at 11 as the result of a brilliant catch by Allen at silly leg, the Middlesex amateur taking a wonderful catch while run- ning sideways. The South Australian skipper had scor ed 21 by dull batting in-83 minutes.

COLONY WILL COMPENSATE OCCUPIERS OF LAND
DIFFICULT PROBLEM MET WITH OFFICIAL SYMPATHY
