THE Macao Jockey Club concluded the 1932 racing season last Sunday under extremely pleasant conditions. It has definitely been a year of progress for this junior Club and the seven meetings held this year have proved beyond all doubt that the Colony is inter- ested in racing at Macan.

Below will be found full statistics for the year 1932 on the Ariera Preta course, giving the records of all China and Australian ponies, the jockeys' records, the biggest dividends pald, and the best times recorded.

VER twenty race ponies will be sold by auction at the pad- deck of the Jockey Club to-day at 5.15 p.m.

Hughes and Hough, Ltd., are the auctioneers.

Lucy Glitters, winner of two races, second in four, and third in four, will be the centre of inter- est. Other prominent Australian. ponies which will change hands are Joaquim (a win, a 'second and a third), and Changte (one win). Among the China ponies are Echo, Azalea Leaf, Silver Key, Toto, Whitehall, King's Parade, Helvellyn, Estrellits, Good Day, Judy, and Silver Star..

Impressive Try Outs At The Valley

MANY of the 44 Subscription Griffins, which arrived in Hong

Kong recently, were seen out on the course this morning, and several impressive gallops were witnessed. It is, however, a little early yet to select rivals to Racing Boy and the other leading China ponies of the year, though there is every indication that an ex- tremely promising group of ponies will make their debut at the Valley in February.

The second batch of 40 odd subs, should arrive in the Colony within the next fortnight, and are claimed to be even better than the first batch which escaped being delayed by the floods at Hailar.
