London, Oct. 19. Last Sunday was "Rugby Sunday in the German sports world, the idea being to po pularise Rugby football among" the youth of the country. Rugby matches were arranged in all the important centres. At Han- over no fewer than five hun dred Rugby enthusiasts, all youngsters, turned out for play. Cochet began making a demonstration film at the Stade Roland Gar- ros on Thursday, but work was stopped owing to rain. La Cigale Finishes 24 Miles Course in 8 Hours 31 Mins.

Fifteen yachts started at 10.05 a.m. on Sunday for the first cruiser championship race round the island of Hong Kong, a distance of 24 miles, and only five failed to complete the course, owing to falling light.

The first yacht to finish was La Cigale at 6.36 p.m. and the last home was Candela at midnight. Full results were as follow:-
