"Careless Lady
If you can believe that pretty Joan Bennett can masquerade as an ugly duckling, then you can believe in the rest of "Careless Lady." I like honest John Boles better in this than any of his recent appear-| ances, and what is most pleasing, he sings for us. Minna Gombell is her noisy self, and helps to initiate the innocent heroine into life. We have speak-easy raids, gigolo with evil intentions, and a most sump- tuously mounted picture with able direction by Kenneth McKenna. John Bennett is my favourite of all the sisters, and is improving all the time. Don't miss It. (King's).
