Satisfactory Report At League Meeting
A. H. MADAR TAKES OVER SECRETARIAL POST FROM W. C. HUNG.
TWENTY CLUB TEAMS
The use of larger stumps was favoured at the 26th annual gen- eral meeting of the Hong Kong Cricket League, which was held in the Sanitary Board room yesterday afternoon.
Mr. H. R. B. Hancock, who presided, mentioned that the Hong Kong Cricket Club are using the larger stumps this season, and he thought it would be as well to introduce them to the League,
Mr. A. C. Beck remarked that the larger stump was in use al Home and elsewhere."
Mr. A. H. Madar queried whether they were in stock in Hong Kong yet, to which Mr. J. C. Lyal replied that they were to be purchased.
The statement of accounts show-
ed a balance of $1,024,89, which English Football
Mr. Hancock considered very astia- factory. He proposed that sums of $100 each be allocated to the Diocesan Boys School and the St. Joseph's College for the purchase | of cricket gear. The output was very expensive, and both institu tions were rather hard-up."
This proposal met with un-} animous approval.
