T. A. TORRANCE LOSES IN BOTH SINGLES AND FOURSOMES.

The most interesting sport item during the week-end of July 26 was the "Walker Cup Test," namely the annual match between Professional and Amateur Golfers.

The encounter on the Royal Mid-Surrey course ended, as was expected, in a win for the Professionals by 16% to 7. Teams were twelve a side and singles were played in the morning, and four- somes in the afternoon.

Most of the interest centred in the matches in which the four Walker Cup representatives were playing. Their form was very encouraging.
