The Fui Shing football eleven made an auspicious debut in the Chinese Summer Football Tournament yester day when they scored five times without reply from the Hong Kong Hotel at Caroline Hill..

The Summer Football Tourney, which is run under the auspices of the Chung Wah A.A. and for a silver trophy presented by Dr. Wu, has this year attracted nine teams. The Mui Dab is now the only com-¡ bination which has not yet "com menced play.

1930 DEFEAT.

Playing Excellent Golf At the Moment.

Francis "Ouimet, captain of the American Walker Cup team, has no Intention of being the only American defeated in this year's. renewal of the international matches with the leading British amateur golfers.

Two years ago in England Oulmet was the only American los- er in the singles matches, and his defeat was by a large margio. The amateur champion this year, however, is playing some of the best golf of his career.

A short time ago he captured. the Massachusetts open, defeating a strong field that included among lothers, Wiffy Cox, Bobby Gruick- shank, · Johnnie Farrell and Joe Turness.

Quimet has been playing a great deal of golf this year. Only twice- has he been over 75, regardless of the course.

The English stallion "Moabite, a son of Phalaris, has died at Tar- wyn Park Stud, Sydney, the home of his owner, Mr. Herbert S. Thompson.

Moabite, who was "exported" to Australia in 1924, won £8,000 on the turf.
