Interviewed by reporter the youngster said: "I made an ar- rangement with a friend to go to a hill, but as it was too, hot, I went to the beach for a breeze. I found sampan and while there fell asleep. When I awoke, I found myself on the ocean. At night it began to rain torrents, and I got wet to the skin, and exhausted. When I attempted to row again the following morning I was attacked by sharks. I lay flat in the sampan thinking that my time was coming, when I heard the whistling of a vessel and on raising my head, saw the steamer. Never before in my Hfe was I so happy as when I was safe on board.”
