The typhoon which has been threatening Hong Kong for the past 48 hours, has definitely passed. Storm warnings were lowered at 10 o'clock this morning. The gale, which reached its height here last night shortly after 9 o'clock, had a high point velocity of 67 miles an hour in the harbour. But by the time the full force of the storm struck, shipping was safely moored in typhoon shelters or riding at secure anchorage.
