ITALIAN BUDGET DEFICIT.
Rome, May 11. The deficit of the Italian ex- chequer for the first three quarters of the current fiscal year amounts to 2,147,000,000 lire, according to an announcement made late last night in the Chamber by the Min- ister of Finance, Signor Mosconi. The minister added that every attempt was being made to keep the deficit at its present level but that, unfortunately, it must be expected that by the end of the fiscal year, on June 30 the deficit would be larger than at present.
