Mr. Henry L. Stimson, United States Secre- tary of State, left to-day for Cannes. He embarks for New York on Tuesday.

He said that he was satisfied with his visit and was confident that the Disarmament Conference would be successful.

Mr. Stimson added that his discussions on the Far East problems with the other statesmen inter- ested had been of great value.
