RELAY RACE DECIDES
Central British School Put Up Gallant Fight.*
D. S. BLAKE VICTOR LUDORUM
Excitement ran high at the Inter- School Sports Meeting held at Caroline Hill yesterday afternoon, when a large crowd of student supporters cheered their representatives on to victory,
The last event of the day proved to be the most exciting due to the fact that the St. Joseph's team and that from the Central British School were running neck and neck in championship points. By winning the Relay race the St. Joseph's team annexed the championship for the fourth year, thus equalling the record of St. Paul's College.
FOUR RECORDS SMASHED,
Four existing records were broken, probably the most convincing attempt being by Vargassoff, who broke the Put- ting the Shot record by the large margin of 10 feet 4 inches.
Choa Ken-ju, of St. Joseph's College, made a successful attempt on the High Jump record of 5 feet 4 inches which he raised by one inch, showing a remarkably easy style in clearing the bar. Yung Ki-fong broke the existing Long Jump record with a splendid effort that cleared 20 feet 7 inches, a very creditable achievement for any schoolboy. R. J. Reed clipped one second off the record for the 220 yards, establishing the creditable time of 23.4/5 secs.
In the Shield St. Joseph's College scored 26 points, Central British School being the runners-up with 23 points.
D. S. Blake, Central British School, returned the highest number of individual points. 10, to become Victor Ludorum while Tam Young-nee, of St. Stephen's College, was a good second with 8.

AGAINST VETERAN.
REVENGE IS SWEET, Radio Victory by Big Margin,
CLUB "A": WIN.
In a return' match on the" Caroline Hill ground yesterday afternoon, the Radio Sports Club defeated a team from H.M.S. Veteran by five goals to two, in a fast and interest- ing encounter. The last time these two teams met, the Veteran emerged victors by the odd goal in seven.
Yesterday's match was contested In a very sporting manner and, al- though seven goals were register- ed, the standard of play on both sides was very high. From the bully-off. the Veteran pressed heavily, and netted through Rimmer, their centre forward. The Radio attacked, and G. Slugh. their most prolific goal scorer, re- ceiving from Gilchrist, scored with! a first-time shot. Shortly after Gilchrist put the Radio in the lead with a fast shot, which the goal- keeper made a good effort to clear.. On the resumption, the Radio at- tacked, but the Veteran defence played well, the goalkeeper and loft back being prominent. The Veteran equalised through Rimmer, but shortly after G. Singh, receiv ing a pass from K. Singh, gave the Radio the lead. Toward the end G. Singh scored two further gösls to bring the Radio's total to five. G. Singh, G. Jack, P. Singh, and K. Singh were the pick · of the Radio team, whilst prominent play- ers in the Veteran eleven ware Rimmer, the centre-half, the left back, and the goalkeeper.
