DEAN'S "HITCH UP.”
[By J. G. Orango.]
It is not always necessary to go to a sporting event with the picture of a player you particularly want to see impressed on your mind. In many cases the players have little mannerisms by which they can be recognised almost as easily as from photographs.
Or
I once heard a man who had been to Stamford Bridge say that he al-j ways picks out Harry Wilding, one of Cheisen's players, by the queer manner in which Wilding carried his arms and hands during the play. Question of "Handa." Wilding would always walk run about with his arms carried straight down his sides and the hands turned up so that the palms| faced the ground. It made him rather a conspicuous figure, and if only referees had known that this was a mannerism of Wilding's they would have been more lenient with him when the question of "hands"
arose...

Once, before a Cup-tie at Totten ham, a mascot in the form of a boy about five years old was put over the rails before the match with a small football, and he amused the crowd; the by taking penalty kicks at empty goals, writes T. The last match in the 1931-1932 series of Triangular Rugby football matches proved a great struggle for supre- macy between the Army and Navy fifteens at Sookunpoo on January 30.
