Valley yesterday A. C. Beck's eleven defeated the Civil Service Cricket Club by 65

runs.

A fenture of the match was the all-round display by Beck and R. The Army defeated the R.H.K. Lee, the former scoring 32 and Yacht Club yesterday by 82 points taking A wickets for 16 runs, and to 75 thanks to a great recovery the latter scoring 31 not out and made in the afternoon race,

taking 4 wickets for 21 runs.

When they were being photo graphed on the day of their wed ding a soldier named Bataille and his bride, living at Caudry, dear Cambrai, were seriously injured in an explosion.

The photograph was being taken by a magnesium flash and the pho tographer had just said the words "Don't move", when the explosion occurred, blowing the doors of the studio off their hinges and break- ing all the windows.

Batallle was injured in the thigh and is now in hospital and his brides had serious cuts on the bands. The magnesium is being examined by experts.--Central News..
