She and the detective both go through, but not without a very bitter struggle. ending with murder.

This is what happened to the large group of extras used at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios dury ing filming of Marion Davies's new picture "Five and Ten" which is being screened in the Queen's Theatre today.

The film, based on the Fannie Hurst novel, la concerned with the millionaire class of New York and involves several lavish "entertain- ments necessitating use of large groups of extra players.

Leslie' Howard plays opposite Miss Davies, and the supporting cast in eludes Irene Rich, Richard Bennett, Kent Douglass, and Mary Duncan.

Extra 'Police on Duty at Schools.

London, Jan. 12. Scotland Yard continues to pur- sue a vigorous search for the mur- derer of Vera Page. Extra police are on duty at schools in the Not- ting Hill district, which were re- opened to-day. [Gosh-duty

Vera Page, who was eleven years of age, was murdered on Dec. 16. and' the body was foufid under the bushes in the garden of a house in Kensington. It is believed that the girl was accosted by a motorist and taken to a garage, where she was maltreated and murdered.

A message of Jan. 2 stated that the police were searching for 's woman who was believed to be shielding the murderer.
