BRUTAL MURDER ON· TAIPO ROAD QUARRY
-
NO APPARENT MOTIVE
POLICE MAKING FULL INVESTIGATIONS.
A brutal murder was committed last night in a stone quarry just off the Taipo Road, the victim be- ing a watchman who lived in a small hut in the stone quarry being worked by Messrs. Woo Shing, contractors.
It appears that one or more persons entered the matshed in which the deceased was sleeping, bound and gagged him, later strangling him with a length of rope.
The body was found at about 7 a.m. lying on its back on a Chinese bed, dressed in Chinese cloth- ing The hands had been tied to its sides. The top portion of the deceased's false teeth were still in the mouth, but the bottom portion had obviously been forced out during the process of gagging and were found lying on the ground.
