NEW GAS FOR AIRSHIPS.

A new gas which may lead to developments in the construc- tion of airships is reported_to have been discovered by Dr. Yoshio Tanaka, of the Tokyo Imperial University.

When the gas is mixed with hydrogen, it is claimed, the risk of explosion is reduced 50 per cent.
