The starting price of Gold Meter was eight to one-but the rash book. maker found himself confronted with the greatest pay-out of his career. He has now consulted an Insurance company as to the best means of meeting his abilities. An expert estimated that if the lucky backer wore forty years of age the bookmaker, to buy an an aulty bringing in £5 a week for life would have to pay £4,885. If the backor Is Afty, the cost is reduced to £3,746.
