The Public are hereby warned that in view of the passing of the Abnormal Importations Customs Duties Act, no guarantea can be given that any pareol will not be subject to Customs duty on arrival in the United Kingdom. The system of prepayment of Ous- toms duties in this office is cancelled until further notice except as regards parcels of silk of or under the value of £5-0-0 or its equivalent in dollars at the rate of the day. It will however be necessary in these cases to make a deposit against duty equal in amount to the declared value of the Parcel...
