What Mail Reviewers Say.
THE SEAS BENEATH.
The talkie which followed the vaudeville show at the King's Theatre yesterday WAS "The Sens Beneath" featuring George O'Brien and Marion Lessing, with a strong supporting cast. For the first time in any talkie heurd in Hong Kong, three lan- guages, English, Spanish and .German, were spoken. This made one or two explanatory titles necessary, but the innova- tion succeeded in introducing reality to the picture with each nationality introduced in the pic- ture speaking its own tongue.

The story is one of a seu battle during the great war, and the matching of wits between the crews of an American mystery ship and a German U boat was thrillingly unfolded. The American mystery ship and German craft disguised as trawler both put in to a Spanish port near Gibraltar and the crews gather in a dance hall and hard' drinking joint where they enjoy themselves, both sides respect- ing the neutrality of Spain.

"SONG OF THE WEST."
Vivienne Segal says:
Here the American Captain (George O'Brien) falla in love with the sister of the U boat handled The chamber was con- Commander. At night both structed in such a manner that the vessels leave port, the American actors could get out as soon as tho mystery ship to decoy the U boat, water became dangerous and the and the German trawler with oil air unhealthy, fuel and supplies for the sub- marine. The girl goes in the trawler. During the refuelling of the U boat, an American off- cer who bas concealed himself on board the trawler sets fire to the vessel and pays with his life. The submarine dives for safety and the trawler sinks and the crew, with the girl (Marion Lessing) put off in lifeboat, which is picked up by the American mystery ship which takes the girl on board and turns the others adrift.
Then the U boat engages the mystery ship which pretends to be in a panic under fire and draws the German within the range of her smaller gun. Then she engages the German while a submerged American submarine, which had all along been in the wake of the mystery ship, gets into position and puts a torpedo into the U boat and sinks her.
The survivors of the U boat are taken on the mystery ship which makes for an Allied port where they, together with the Commander's sister, are intern- ed. In spite of her brother's de-. feat, however, the German girl finds that. she loves the Ameri- can Captain and promises to come to him when the war is
over.

I never enjoyed anything so much in my life as working in the great outdoor scenes during the filming of the marvellous all-colour Vitaphone film, "Song of the West." This was my first experience in pictures and I found it fascinating. I know I am one of the luckiest girls in the world to be chosen by Mr. Jack Warner for the lead in this thrilling story of the West during the cover- ed waggon days.

ALPICTURE,
A frequent victim of Malaria writes: — "In cases of Malaria I take 16 grains of Genasprin (2 tablets) followed 10 minutes later by 10 grains of quinine. I then soon begin to perspire having, of course, gone to bid under plenty of blankets and in a couple of hours my temperature has gone and there is no need to continue the Genasprin. Pinin quinine by itself is not effective and only results in a severe headache. The Genasprin not only excites a healthy perspiration, but also banishes the ill-effects of quinine - headache, deaf- neas, dizziness and weak css."'
