Wonderful Spectacle.

When the Dollar Steamship Line's new and palatial $8,000,000 turbo-electric liner, the President Hoover, steamed majestically into harbour this morning, her beauty of line and neat finish attracted, the eyes of countless numbers of admirers. She presented a won- derful spectacle when she finally berthed at the Kowloon wharves.

Hoover, whose sister ship is the President Coolidge winch was recently launched, was launched from the ways of Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, Virginia, on December 9, 1989, and is the first of a feet of queens contemplated in the Dollar Steamship Line's construc-
